1998, Werner Jost founded the sole proprietorship Jost-Informatik for the purpose to provide IT consulting and development services as an independent professional.

2001,  codexxa AG was founded by Werner Jost to continue the business of Jost-Informatik with an increasing number of developers/consultants.

From 1998 till today, codexxa as well as the former Jost-Informatik successfully provide IT consulting and development services for numerous customers including but not limited to Swiss Government (Bern), UBS (Zürich), Dresdner Bank (Frankfurt), Dresdner Kleinwort (London), HSH Nordbank (Kiel), Commerzbank (Frankfurt) and Hamburg Commercial Bank (Hamburg) in various departments/projects.
